Want to avoid being stuck in an unhappy marriage?

With the divorce rate increasing at an alarming rate and couples staying back in marriages only because of children or other compromising reasons, it is with pleasure that I introduce to you the pre-nikah card deck designed to help reduce divorce and regrets after marriage.

"And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought." [30:21]

Marriage is to be a place of love and warmth, a source of tranquillity, and a place of refuge. This purpose of marriage can become challenging to achieve when individuals go into the union blindly without ascertaining if they will be a good fit. Let the pre-nikah card deck give you a "hand" up in fulfilling half of your deen.

The pre-Nikah card deck is a deck of cards that helps you ask one another critical questions, encouraging intimacy and knowledge of one another. It is a functional card deck with each card asking one or more questions on religion, family, self, children, friends, finances and sexuality, such as

👉🏼 How do you define boundaries? How do you expect to respect each other's boundaries in marriage?

👉🏼 What is the relationship between you and the Muslim community in your area?

👉🏼 What was the attitude toward sex in your family? Was it talked about? Who taught you about sex?

Don't put the cart before the horse. Take turns asking and answering the questions honestly; When you have decided you are both a good fit, you can then continue with the other part of premarital counselling and wedding preparation.

Don't gamble on love – play the game; don't trade your marital bliss!
