Generosity Reflection Log
A simple one-page reflection log to help us shift from scarcity thinking into the open, resourced mindset anchored in Al-Karīm. Use this worksheet to notice “unearned” gifts, practise generosity without expecting reciprocity, and gather evidence that you are being sustained. The goal is not forced positivity, but a softer heart that feels safe enough to give.

This Generosity Reflection Log is designed to help us transition from the defensive state of scarcity thinking into the open state of abundance anchored in Al-Karīm. In therapy, we use this kind of tracking to help clients visibly witness the internal and external resources they often overlook when they are trapped in fear of lack.
Because scarcity thinking does not only affect money. It affects the nervous system. It makes us grip, over-control, rush, compete, withdraw, and panic. It makes the heart feel like it must protect itself from running out.
Al-Karīm gently retrains that posture. Allah gives and is not diminished. When we track the ways we are being resourced, we teach the brain to see what is already present. We soften the defensive grip. We open again.
The Al-Karīm Abundance Log
Use this log to track how the Most Generous is resourcing your life today. As you write, hold this truth close:
Al-Karīm gives and is not diminished.
And when we practise noticing, our hearts become less defensive and more open.
1) The “Unearned Honour” Audit
Al-Karīm honours beyond merit.
Entry: What is one thing you received today that you did not necessarily earn, deserve, or work for?
Shift: This could be a small ease in your chest, an unexpected kind word, a delay that protected you, a meal, a safe journey, or simply the fact that you have breath.
2) My “Generous Experiment”
Generosity is one of the cleanest antidotes to scarcity.
Entry: What is one way you offered time, attention, patience, or kindness today without expecting anything back from people?
Reflection: Did your internal well feel diminished by giving, or did it feel steadier, lighter, and more open?
3) Identifying the “Infinite Well”
When the heart feels resourced, it becomes less defensive.
Entry: Where do you usually feel “poor” or deprived?
Time, appreciation, energy, love, support, money, rest?
Evidence: What is one small sign from today that you are still being sustained in this area, even if it was not perfect?
4) Gratitude Without Reciprocity
Allah never lets the effort of a believer go to waste.
Entry: Note a moment today where you did something good that went unnoticed by others.
Affirmation:
“I do not need human reciprocity. My source is Al-Karīm, who gives in ways I cannot quantify.”
A Closing Du‘ā Line
“O Al-Karīm, free me from the fear of not having enough.”
Weekly Abundance Summary
At the end of the week, look back at your entries.
Reflect: Has my defensive grip softened?
Do I feel even slightly more open, more trusting, more able to give without fear?

Goal: We are not forcing ourselves into generosity. We are allowing the heart to feel safe enough to be kind. Safe enough to be open. Safe enough to trust that our Lord is Al-Karīm.
